As a Singaporean, it pains me to see fellow countrymen being killed and injured while being overseas, away from home. It dawned on me of life's fragility and irregularities. While we celebrate this festive season, I would urge everyone to take one step back to mourn for our fellow Singaporeans who have lost their lives, and also to be grateful to the gift of life which we still possess. It is important that we take good care of ourselves so as not to bring grief and sadness to the people around us. Irregardless of being in or out of Singapore, there is this old Chinese adage: Caution is the parent of safety <小心驶得万年船 >
